Mohammad Tarakji, a native of Aleppo, was born in 1925. He co-stared in leading black & white comedies in the 1960s, like "Hamam al-Hana" alongside the comedy duo Duraid Lahham and Nihad Quali. In 1980, he performed in the political satire, "Wadi al-Misk" written by veteran Syrian poet Mohammad al-Maghout. Among Tarakji's works in Syrian cinema are: Al-Thaalab (The Fox - 1971), Al-Muzayafoun (The Frauds - 1975), and al-Takrir (The Report - 1986), all staring Duraid Lahham.
