Lamia Shakkur became Syria's ambassador to Paris in 2008. At the time she was the daughter of Syria's ambassador Yusuf Shakkur, a former Chief-of-Staff of the Syrian Army. Standing between them is the child Sahban Abd Rabbo, the son of Paris-based Syrian journalist Yasser Abd Rabbo, and one of the co-founders of Syrianhistory.com
