Nuri Pasha was a member of the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Turks. He came with Faisal to Syria in 1918 and stayed until 1920. This photo was taken on May 12, 1919. Nuri Pasha then went to Baghdad with Faisal in 1921 and served for 8-times as Prime Minister until he was toppled and killed by the July 14 Revolution.
