This operetta was composed in 1958 by the musician Mohammad Abd al-Wahab to commemorate the Syrian-Egyptian Union. It was performed by Abd al-Halim Hafez from Egypt, Sabah from Lebanon, Warda from Algeria, Fayzeh Ahmad and Najat al-Saghira from Syria. The song praises Arab unity and is considered one of the finest patriotic songs of the Arab World in the 20th century.
