New 10-2006: Syrian Ambassador Najib al-Armanazi in Cairo in 1952 with Colonel Gamal Abdul-Nasser, the new strongman of Egypt. Nasser had recently co-led the Free Officer Movement that toppled King Farouk I and replaced the Egyptian monarchy with a republican system, headed by General Mohammad Najib.
